Today in class students learned about the controversial beginnings of the Mexican War. We discussed Lincoln's Spot Resolution, Thoreau's civil disobedience, and Whig opposition to the war and compared it to the calls for "Manifest Destiny." DUE TOMORROW: Nothing.
