Utah Studies

Today in class students continued watching a film about the Utah murder trial of labor union songwriter Joe Hill. They took notes as they watched. DUE TOMORROW: Students will write about Joe Hill's guilt or innocence, in their opionion.

Today in class students finished discussing David Walker's "Appeal to the Coloured Citizens of the World" that called for a slave rebellion. Then they watched a video about the slave Harriet Jacobs and how her life crossed paths with the Nat Turner slave rebellion. DUE TOMORROW: Nothing.

Today in class students read portions of a book written in 1829 calling for a slave rebellion. It was called "An Appeal to the Coloured Citizens of the World" by David Walker. DUE MONDAY: We will finish this assignment.
