Utah Studies-Friday, August 30, 2008

Today in Utah Studies students wrote a biographical, third person view of themselves that I call their "X-File." The short essay was an outside perspective on themselves and was designed to instruct them how to write biographically. DUE TUESDAY: Must have completed their X-File essay. (Many of them already have finished them and turned them in to me.)

Today periods 1-3, 5 finished learning my rules and procedures. They also learned some interesting things about Mr. Shake in preparation for them writing their own life story.

Periods 6-7 are a bit behind due to an assembly and therefore did not quite finish learning about my rules and procedures.

DUE TOMORROW: Nothing, unless students want to turn in learning centers early!

Utah Studies-Monday, August 25, 2008

WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS!

Today in Utah Studies class I introduced myself, had the students listen to a song, and then they created their own version of that song! It was just a fun way for them to learn some things about me and vise versa. DUE TOMORROW: Nothing, but we will be learning class rules and procedures and how they fit into the school-wide RATTLE rules.
