Today students learned about the learning center homework system for this class. They also read an article about how Utah's geography affects where we live in Utah. DUE TOMORROW: Nothing.

Today in class students ranked different reasons for why we should study history. DUE TOMORROW: Signed disclosures!

Utah Studies

Today in class students listened to a song by Bob Marley called "Buffalo Soldier" in order to better understand why it is important to study history. Then we discussed some quotes about why history matters to us. DUE TODAY: Signed disclosures. DUE TOMORROW: Nothing, unless you have a late disclosure to turn in.

US History

Today in class students were given course disclosures to be signed by a parent or guardian. Also, we discussed quotes about how to define history. DUE TOMORROW: Nothing. DUE WEDNESDAY: Signed disclosures.

Today in class students learned about classroom rules, expectations, and procedures. DUE MONDAY: Signed disclosures.

US History

Today students finished writing their own obituaries. Then we discussed class rules and procedures. DUE MONDAY: Nothing, unless they have not yet turned in their obituaries. DUE WEDNESDAY: Course disclosures.

Utah Studies

Today in class students finished their X-File writing assignment. Then students received their disclosures. DUE FRIDAY: Nothing. DUE MONDAY: Signed disclosures.

US History

Today in class students worked on writing their obituaries. DUE TOMORROW: After the first 20-25 minutes, their obituaries will be due. DUE MONDAY: Signed disclosures.

Utah Studies Information

Today in class I told my students that I was wanted by the FBI and read them an FBI "X-File" I wrote in order to give them a creative way to write about themselves. That way we will introduce ourselves to each other. DUE TOMORROW: Hopefully, students will be able to finish their X-Files by the end of the class period.

US History Information

Today in class I read my obituary to students. Tomorrow in class they will write their own obituaries. This activity is meant to get students thinking about their futures and what they hope to contribute to the world. DUE TOMORROW: Hopefully students will finish their obituaries by the end of the period.
