B DAY:  Today in class students read about the Mexican-American War and how Utah changed hands from Mexican territory to US territory as a result of that war.  Then students wrote a short essay about how things might be different had Mexico kept a hold of those lands.  DUE TODAY:  Family Immigration Interview and What if Mexico Had Won? Essay.  DUE SOON:  Family vs. Immigrant Group Venn Diagram (end of class Monday).
