Today in 6th period, students reviewed for a test they will take tomorrow about important dates in Utah's history and Utah map locations. Today in Periods 1-3 students took this test (they reviewed for it on Friday). They also were introduced an important current issue facing Utah: immigration. They will soon begin reading a historical fiction about this issue. DUE TOMORROW (for Periods 4-6): Be prepared for the test! Today in Period 4-6 students learned about Native American Civil Rights and also listened to songs from the civil rights movement. Period 1 learned how to do their civil rights project and then worked on it in class. DUE MONDAY: Nothing. DUE TUESDAY (for Per. 1-4) OR WEDNESDAY (for Per. 5-6): Signed Grade Printoffs (for all students who did not attend parent teacher conferences).

Today in Period 6 students watched a documentary film about the civil rights movement called "Eyes on the Prize." They took notes and then wrote a summary. Today in Periods 1-3 students learned about Native American's fight for civil rights and then listened to and discussed songs about the civil rights movement. DUE TOMORROW: Nothing.
