Yesterday in class students filled out a KWL form about Japanese interment camps in anticipation of reading the historical fiction novel "Journey to Topaz." Today students began reading Chapter 1 and creating questions about the book. DUE MONDAY: Nothing. DUE FRIDAY, APRIL 23: Learning Center Check #1 (20 points for Periods 1-2, 4-6; 10 points for Period 3).

Today in class students began watching a documentary called "Utah World War II Stories: Europe." This film interviewed Utah war veterans to preserve their stories for history. As students watched, they answered questions. DUE TOMORROW: Nothing.
